Chancellor of the Exchequer Visits Tanshire Business Park

Tanshire Business Park is home to a range of businesses and organisations, including a leading digital marketing agency and long-standing tenant, Innovation Visual, a team who are making the subject and use of AI in digital marketing an ongoing part of work. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, recently visited Tanshire Business Park providing an opportunity for business park tenants, including the Innovation Visual team and business park director, Jonathan Meier to discuss the topic of AI.

What Is AI, and Why Are We Talking About It?

Put simply, AI, or Artificial Intelligence, refers to a form of technology that uses complex systems to create text, images and videos based on a particular prompt given to the software by a user. Generative AI – the most common and best-known form of AI – can create extensive blogs in a matter of minutes, generate realistic-looking photographs in seconds, and even transform videos by changing languages or adding AI-generated characters. The last few years have seen a huge increase in the speed of AI, with new developments and technologies being conceived, and this has an enormous potential impact on businesses, transforming the way in which they operate and produce goods and services and casting question marks over the ways which they will grow and evolve moving forward.

What the Visit Entailed

During the course of the visit on the 10th November 2023, the Tanshire Business Park team took the chance to highlight the work of one of our tenants, the digital marketing agency Innovation Visual, while surrounded by the lush Surrey countryside. Business park manager Jonathan took some time to introduce Mr Hunt to the many amazing facilities at Tanshire Business Park, demonstrating the space's unique strength in hosting innovative teams and businesses from the local area.

The focus of the visit was Artificial Intelligence (AI) – a trending conversation following the two-day AI Summit located in Bletchley Park at the end of October – an event that coincided perfectly with Mr Hunt’s visit to the park. This was an event dedicated to a lively discussion of all things AI-related, including the latest developments, evolutions, and potential concerns about the rise of generative AI – issues that are ongoing topics for any marketing business.

At Innovation Visual, the team are working on the best way to harness the power of AI for good, with a focus on using different AI tools to automate key marketing process and assist with manual tasks – changes that can speed up results and improve the overall experience for both staff and clients. Hunt described the rise of generative AI as a “huge opportunity” for the UK, and it seems clear that this is a trend that shows no signs of slowing down.
